Now that your team is up and running, you must ensure that it is running at its optimal effectiveness. This two-day best practice course will give your team the insights it needs to go to the next level. The course is designed to provide participants with a depth of knowledge related to team operations, group dynamics, case interventions, and violence risk assessment. Note that BIT Level I training is not required to attend BIT Level II training. The learning goals for BIT Level II training are as follows:

Participants will….

  • Understand the NaBITA Standards for Behavioral Intervention Teams.
  • Be able to self-assess their own BIT based on the NaBITA Standards and the Core Q10
  • Effectively lead a BIT, including guiding the operations, group dynamics, and team supervision.
  • Deploy effective interventions for cases referred to the BIT, utilizing a range of intervention techniques.
  • Conduct violence risk assessments based on structured professional judgement, using the SIVRA-35.

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES ON JULY 3rd.  You may register onsite after July 3rd.
