VIRTUAL 71st AFC Annual Meeting and Conference

November 16-20, 2020

In a year unlike any other, the Association of Florida Colleges will come together virtually to celebrate the resiliency of its members. The 28 state and community colleges that comprise the Florida College System institutions serve more than 730,000 students annually. Pivoting in March, the AFC and its member institutions shifted their services from in-person to online. Within a week for some, and two weeks for others, colleges and their staffs took a crisis and developed a plan of action. From remote instruction to virtual graduations, the FCS rose to every occasion.

This year, the challenges of a Covid-19 pandemic, economic recession, and social justice unrest, necessitated colleges take a critical look at their commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, workforce training, food insecurities, online learning, and the digital divide. How can the Florida College System meet these new challenges while maintaining excellence, access, and student engagement during this most historic time? Join us at the AFC Virtual Annual Meeting & Conference this November as we discuss the issues that impact higher education in Florida.
