CCP CORE+ WorkshopsCORE+ Workshops are a new part of the AFC’s Certified College Professional (CCP) program. These workshops offer innovative and cutting edge professional development opportunities to AFC members. Some workshops are open to both current CCP program participants and non-participants. April 9, 2020 April 9th - WORKSHOP AGENDA The AFC is pleased to offer Part 2 of the 5G Power Skills workshop series - Interpersonal Communication. This one-day workshop, created in collaboration with Alpha UMi, will address such hot topics as Emotional Intelligence, Winning Mindset, Written, Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication and Meaningful Conversation. Part 1, given in September and covering 5G's Dimensional Diversity and Collaboration, was met with RAVE reviews! Part 1 is not a pre-requisite for Part 2. Come see what all the buzz is about and start gaining credits towards both the AFC Florida College Professional Certificate and the 5G Power Skills Certification. Chief Curriculum Officer Mrs. Coleman has a BA in Psychology from Emory University and Master’s Degrees in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine. She also holds a certificate from University of the South’s (Sewanee) School of Theology. She is Certified as a Personal Trainer by The American Council on Exercise and is also a Health Educator and weight loss counselor with Health Management Resources, the country’s oldest and leading medical weight loss program. She enjoys working with people of all ages but has a special heart for the mature person and brings a gentle understanding of the mental and physical challenges people face as they progress from one decade to the next. Jean is an adjunct professor at The University of Phoenix and also at St. Petersburg College, teaching a variety of courses in Psychology, Human Motivation, Nutrition and Health & Wellness. Coaching people from all walks of life, from teens to nonagenarians to leaders of major corporations, Jean is able to help her clients find direction, balance and joy in the journey, as they transition from success to significance! Nate Hatzie Chief Operating Officer Mr. Hatzie has over 20 years in retail experience, shaping into a high-performing, strategic-thinking professional with over 10 years experience in senior management positions. Highly skilled at relationship building with employees and teams. Exceptional writing, presenting, and interpersonal communication skills. Adept at assessing needs, generating options, and implementing goal deadlines. Experience providing internal employee development, team effectiveness and leadership development consulting to all levels of an organization. Able to design and implement strategic plans and develop high performing teams. He facilitated the Management Corporate Internship Program, Developed the Procedure and Processes for Community Outreach Development while he was with Books-A-Million. Nate facilitated the new SMIT (Store Manager In Training) Academy with his time at Sears Holdings. He was a multi-unit manager overseeing the procedure and processes for closing stores for Sears, Sears Auto Centers, Lands End, and Kmart. |
