Mary Garrett, eLearning Coordinator Contact info: BIOGRAPHY Mary believes she serves as a “gap filler” for many students who need clarity regarding online course expectations as well as guidance regarding college resources and access to those resources. She has worked with faculty to identify struggling online students through the eLearning referral system to offer intervention that may lead to improvements in academic outcomes. She has worked with staff to design webpages to enhance visibility of student services online and bring awareness to online students regarding third-party software vendor information. Mary has knowledge of Blackboard, ANGEL, and Canvas learning management systems. She has successfully created orientation online courses to equip students in the academic mechanics of being successful in the online learning environment as well as facilitated face-to-face training sessions for students. Mary Garrett holds a Bachelor in Science degree in economics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Master’s in Education degree in educational technology from American InterContinental University.
