2022 Statewide Officer Candidates
All offices are running unopposed. No vote is required for an election to office. PRESIDENT-ELECT - (1 Candidate):Gregory Williams In June of 2014, Gregory Williams started working at Tallahassee Community College in the Division of Communications and Humanities as a Staff Assistant I. Gregory attended school at TCC while working there and graduated from TCC with his Associate of Arts Degree in May of 2020. He is currently enrolled at Flagler College in Tallahassee majoring in Elementary Education. He is very involved on campus as he serves on the following committees and boards: the TCC Employee Excellence Committee, Campaign TCC Departmental Representative, the TCC Foundation Scholarship Committee, the TCC Chapter of AFC Chapter President, the TCC Relay for Life Team Captain, and the Advisory Board Member for the TCC Black Male Achievers program. Gregory currently serves as the Chair of the TCC Classified Staff Steering Committee and the Communications and Humanities Division Representative. He is currently the Vice President of Commissions. VICE PRESIDENT-ELECT FOR COMMISSIONS – (1 Candidate):
Sharon Walker Sharon has been an active member of the TCC Chapter of AFC since 2013. She served as the Secretary, President-Elect, and President of the Tallahassee Community College Chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC). In addition to these roles, she served as the Region 1 Representative for the Membership Development Committee and the Service Project Committee for AFC, served as Chair-Elect and Chair of the Career and Professional Employees Commission, and is the current Region Director for Region 1 of AFC. At the 2017 Association of Florida Colleges Annual Conference, she was awarded one of the highest honors of AFC, the AFC Distinguished Service Award for the outstanding work she did as Chapter President of the TCC Chapter after losing the entire Chapter membership due to an ERP system glitch.
As Chair of the Career and Professional Employees Commission, CPEC was awarded Commission of the Year for 2020. Sharon has demonstrated her leadership qualities in the Chapter, Commissions, Region, and Statewide areas of AFC. (Read more...) Get "In" with Sharon Walker! |
