Council of Presidents Monthly and Annual MeetingsThe Council of Presidents hold monthly meetings in Tallahassee each year and an annual meeting in June. They also meet around the state and hold one meeting in conjunction with the AFC Annual Meeting & Conference. AFC Region Meetings (Spring)Region meetings are held in the spring (March/April/May) of each year. AFC Commission Meetings (Spring)Commission meetings are held in the spring (March/April/May) of each year. AFC Cybersecurity SummitThis summit will bring together experts from the broad spectrum of Cybersecurity to address the current challenges facing our campuses statewide. The summit will focus on sharing best practices and resources to assure that every college in Florida has the necessary tools to implement effective and successful campus policies and practices. Sessions will include presentations and panels covering Leadership, Identity Management, Security, Security Operations and Architecture, Cybersecurity Education, Privacy, and Awareness & Education.
AFC Campus Safety Symposium (June/July)The Campus Safety Symposium brings together experts from the broad spectrum of campus safety to address the current challenges facing our campuses statewide. The symposium focuses on sharing best practices and resources to assure that every college in Florida has the necessary tools to implement effective and successful campus safety policies and practices. Topics and concurrent sessions include presentations and panels covering law enforcement practices, mental health, behavioral intervention, facilities, training, Title IX, FERPA, and student services. AFC Annual Meeting and Conference (October/November)We’ve averaged approximately 300 - 500 attendees. Attendees at the AFC Annual Meeting and Conference represent all facets of each College. We will have representatives from 28 of our colleges including Presidents, Vice Presidents, Trustees, and others in attendance. The majority of our attendees are Career & Professional Staff, Administrative Staff, and Faculty. In addition, there are 14 specialty groups called commissions that will be represented by the above-listed attendees. These groups include the Administration Commission, Faculty Commission, Institutional Effectiveness, Planning, and Professional Development Commission, Student Development Commission, Technology Commission, and Workforce, Adult and Continuing Education Commission to name just a few. Our intimate set-up creates an experience that allows our attendees the time and opportunity to get to know our exhibitors and sponsors.
