Academic Buoyancy provides a gateway not only to better learning but increased academic success, as well as employment opportunities. At MDC West Campus, students have been engaged in researching the effects of vaping and Gerontology as well as aging. At the Wolfson Campus, the P.E.A.C.E (Personal Enrichment and Community Engagement) Center engages all members of the campus community in workshops and events concentrated on positive psychology, civic engagement, and global citizenship. These opportunities promote students’ ability to succeed and develop academic autonomy despite the many challenges that COVID-19 has presented.
