FDA advisers back emergency authorization for Moderna's Covid vaccine for youngest kids; Pfizer vote coming soon

The FDA’s independent vaccine advisers voted unanimously Wednesday to recommend the agency authorize Moderna's Covid-19 vaccines for babies, toddlers and preschool-age children. A vote on Pfizer's vaccine is coming soon.

The agency is expected to quickly issue emergency use authorizations for the shots, meaning the country’s youngest kids could be eligible for vaccinations as soon as next week.
